Volvo Malaysia Updates EX30 for MY2027 with Competitive Pricing and New Trim Designation
Volvo has refreshed its compact electric SUV lineup in Malaysia with the arrival of the 2027 model year EX30. The update introduces a more aggressive pricing structure and a strategic rebranding of its premium trim level to better suit the evolving local market.
The 2027 Volvo EX30 is now positioned at a more accessible RM198,888, representing a RM10,000 reduction compared to the previous single-motor Ultra variant. This price adjustment signals Volvo's commitment to strengthening the EX30's competitive edge within the premium EV segment. This update also marks a shift in the model's hierarchy, as the high-performance two-motor Ultra Twin Performance variant, previously priced at RM228,888, has been replaced in the latest lineup.
A significant change for the MY2027 model is the rebranding of its premium specification; the sole Ultra variant has been officially renamed to the "P5 Long Range." While the core identity of the EX30 remains intact, the new nomenclature suggests a strategic focus on highlighting range and battery efficiency. This move aligns with broader industry trends in Malaysia, where consumers are increasingly prioritizing long-distance capability and optimized driving range in their electric vehicle choices.
