Volvo EX30 MY2027 arrives in Malaysia with lower pricing and refreshed naming
Volvo has announced updates to the EX30 compact electric SUV lineup for the 2027 model year in Malaysia. The update features a strategic price reduction and a change in variant nomenclature to better align with the brand's evolving product positioning.
The most significant highlight is the new price point for the single-motor variant, which now retails at RM198,888. This represents a notable RM10,000 reduction compared to the previous one-motor Ultra trim, making the premium electric compact more competitively priced for the local market.
In addition to the price adjustment, Volvo has rebranded its primary offering, renaming the Ultra variant to the "P5 Long Range." This reshuffle also signals a shift in the model's availability, as the high-performance RM228,888 two-motor Ultra Twin Performance version has been phased out, resulting in a more streamlined and efficiency-focused lineup for the MY2027 cycle.
