Volvo EX30 MY2027 Hits Malaysian Market with More Competitive Pricing

Volvo has refreshed its compact electric SUV lineup in Malaysia, introducing the MY2027 Volvo EX30 with a notable price reduction. The update streamlines the model's offerings, focusing on enhanced value for the single-motor variant.

The MY2027 Volvo EX30 now enters the market with a starting price of RM198,888, marking a RM10,000 decrease from the previous single-motor Ultra variant. This strategic pricing move aims to make the brand's entry-level EV more accessible to Malaysian consumers. As part of this update, Volvo has also discontinued the high-performance RM228,888 two-motor Ultra Twin Performance, effectively simplifying the brand's local EX30 portfolio.

Alongside the price adjustment, the brand has implemented a nomenclature change, renaming the sole remaining Ultra variant to the P5 Long Range. While the core architecture of the EX30 remains a benchmark for the compact electric segment, this rebranding emphasizes the model's focus on efficiency and endurance. This lineup adjustment signals Volvo's intent to optimize the EX30's market position amidst increasing competition in the local EV sector.
