Volvo has updated the EX30 lineup for the 2027 model year in Malaysia, introducing a significant price reduction for its primary offering. The compact electric SUV now enters the market at a more competitive price point accompanied by a strategic rebranding of its premium trim.
The MY2027 Volvo EX30 is now priced at RM198,888, marking a notable RM10,000 decrease from the previous one-motor Ultra variant. This price adjustment positions the compact EV more aggressively within the local market, offering enhanced value for consumers looking to transition to premium electric mobility.
In addition to the pricing change, Volvo has streamlined the model's nomenclature and available configurations. The sole "Ultra" variant has been officially renamed to the "P5 Long Range," while the high-performance RM228,888 two-motor Ultra Twin Performance model has been phased out. This move suggests a refined focus on optimizing range and efficiency for the Malaysian market.
