Volvo Malaysia Reduces EX30 Pricing for MY2027 with New Trim Nomenclature
Volvo has announced updated pricing and configuration changes for the MY2027 Volvo EX30 in Malaysia. The compact electric SUV receives a notable price reduction on its primary trim, accompanied by a strategic rebranding of its flagship single-motor variant.
The MY2027 Volvo EX30 is now available at a starting price of RM198,888, marking a RM10,000 decrease from the previous one-motor Ultra specification. As part of this update, Volvo has also implemented a change in nomenclature, renaming the sole Ultra variant to the "P5 Long Range." This adjustment suggests a refinement of the model's positioning to better reflect its updated technical specifications and market target.
This pricing overhaul also coincides with a streamlining of the EX30's local lineup. The high-performance RM228,888 two-motor Ultra Twin Performance variant has been phased out, effectively narrowing the model's focus toward the more accessible P5 Long Range. By lowering the entry barrier for its premium electric compact SUV, Volvo aims to strengthen the EX30's competitive edge within Malaysia's rapidly evolving EV landscape.
