Volvo has refreshed the EX30 lineup for the 2027 model year in Malaysia, introducing a more aggressive pricing strategy for its compact electric SUV. The update features a notable price reduction and a shift in the model's trim nomenclature to better reflect its specifications.
The MY2027 Volvo EX30 is now priced at RM198,888, marking a significant RM10,000 reduction compared to the previous one-motor Ultra variant. This strategic price adjustment aims to increase the accessibility of Volvo's entry-level EV, making it a more competitive contender in the local premium electric segment.
Alongside the pricing update, Volvo has streamlined its trim offerings by renaming the sole Ultra variant to the "P5 Long Range." This change coincides with the removal of the high-performance RM228,888 two-motor Ultra Twin Performance variant, signaling a shift toward a more simplified, long-range-focused lineup for the Malaysian market.
