Volvo EX30 Receives Price Reduction for MY2027 in Malaysia
Volvo has refreshed the EX30 lineup for the 2027 model year in Malaysia, introducing a more competitive pricing structure for its compact electric SUV. The update includes a significant price drop for the single-motor variant and a strategic rebranding of the premium trim level.
The MY2027 Volvo EX30 now enters the Malaysian market with a starting price of RM198,888, marking a RM10,000 reduction from the previous one-motor Ultra variant. This price adjustment offers a more accessible entry point into Volvo’s electric ecosystem. However, the update also brings a notable change to the high-performance segment, as the RM228,888 two-motor Ultra Twin Performance has been phased out of the current lineup.
As part of this restructuring, the remaining Ultra trim has been officially renamed to the P5 Long Range. This rebranding suggests a renewed focus on range-optimized efficiency for the single-motor configuration. By simplifying the trim hierarchy and lowering the cost of entry, Volvo appears to be positioning the EX30 to more aggressively compete in Malaysia's rapidly evolving electric vehicle landscape.
