Volvo EX30 MY2027 Lineup Arrives in Malaysia with Lower Pricing and New Variant Name
Volvo has announced updated pricing and a revised specification structure for the EX30 in Malaysia for the 2027 model year. The update introduces a significant price reduction for the core variant while simultaneously streamlining the model's local availability.
The primary highlight for the MY2027 Volvo EX30 is a more aggressive entry point for the compact electric SUV. The single-motor Ultra variant, which has been officially rebranded as the P5 Long Range, is now priced at RM198,888. This represents a RM10,000 decrease compared to the previous one-motor Ultra configuration, positioning the premium EV more competitively within the Malaysian market.
This pricing update also coincides with a consolidation of the EX30’s model range. Volvo has moved away from the high-performance, dual-motor setup, as the RM228,888 Ultra Twin Performance variant has been phased out. By focusing the lineup on the P5 Long Range, the brand appears to be prioritizing range and value to capture a broader segment of the growing electric vehicle landscape.
