Volvo has announced updates to the EX30 lineup for the 2027 model year in Malaysia, headlined by a strategic price reduction. The compact electric SUV now features a more accessible entry point and a streamlined trim structure designed to better suit local market demands.
The most significant update is the pricing for the single-motor variant, which has been slashed by RM10,000 compared to the previous one-motor Ultra. The MY2027 model now enters the market at RM198,888. Alongside this price drop, Volvo has also rebranded its core offering, with the sole Ultra variant now officially designated as the P5 Long Range.
This refresh also brings a notable change to the EX30's performance availability. The high-performance, two-motor Ultra Twin Performance variant, previously priced at RM228,888, has been removed from the lineup. By focusing on the P5 Long Range, Volvo appears to be pivoting its Malaysian strategy toward maximizing range and value, reinforcing the EX30's competitive stance in the growing electric vehicle sector.
