Under this expanded scheme, domestic users consuming up to 800 kWh per month will be exempt from several additional costs, including specific surcharges, retail charges, and Sales and Service Tax (SST). This adjustment is designed to cushion the impact of energy price fluctuations on the public, ensuring that a broader range of consumers can benefit from stabilized utility rates during the final quarter of 2026.
The initiative is expected to provide substantial relief to eligible households, with potential monthly savings of up to RM47.
