Voyah Dream 9 Flagship MPV Set for Malaysian Debut in Early 2027
Dongfeng distributor Volt Auto Malaysia has confirmed that the Voyah Dream 9 flagship MPV will arrive in the local market during the first quarter of 2027. The premium multi-purpose vehicle will be offered in both battery-electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains to cater to the evolving demands of the electrified luxury segment.
The rollout strategy for the Dream 9 will begin with the introduction of Completely Built Up (CBU) units to establish the brand's presence in the premium mobility space. Following the initial launch phase, Volt Auto Malaysia intends to transition to Completely Knocked Down (CKD) local assembly. This phased approach is designed to build market momentum before committing to long-term local manufacturing operations.
To provide versatility for both eco-conscious drivers and those requiring longer-range flexibility, the Dream 9 will be available in both Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) configurations. As a flagship model from the Voyah lineup, the MPV is expected to compete heavily in the high-end executive and luxury family transport sectors. This move marks a significant step in Dongfeng's expansion strategy within the Malaysian automotive landscape.
