Triumph is set to broaden its small-displacement portfolio by introducing the 2027 Bonneville T40 and T40 Black. These upcoming models will bring the manufacturer's legendary retro roadster DNA to the 400cc segment, offering a new entry point for modern classic enthusiasts.
The arrival of the T40 series marks a strategic move by Hinckley to apply its most iconic branding to a more accessible platform. The lineup, which features both a standard T40 and a more stylized T40 Black variant, is expected to build upon the success of Triumph's recent single-cylinder engine developments. By integrating the prestigious Bonneville name into the 400cc range, Triumph aims to bridge the gap between entry-level performance and timeless heritage styling.
These new models will complement the existing 400cc roster, which currently includes the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X. In markets like Malaysia, where the Speed 400 is positioned at RM27,200 and the Scrambler 400 X at RM30,900, the T40 models are anticipated to remain highly competitive within the premium small-capacity segment.
