Selangor JPJ Intensifies Crackdown on Untaxed Luxury Cars and Unlicensed Foreign Riders
The Selangor Road Transport Department (JPJ) has launched two targeted enforcement operations aimed at addressing regulatory breaches within the state. The crackdowns specifically focused on foreign motorcyclists operating without proper documentation and luxury vehicle owners evading road tax obligations.
Under the "Ops Pemandu Warga Asing" (Foreign Driver Operation), enforcement officers conducted inspections at several strategic locations, including Persiaran Eco Forest 3A in Broga and Jalan Setia Perdana U13/25A. These checks, carried out at SPK Semenyih and JPJ Padang Jawa, resulted in the seizure of two motorcycles belonging to foreign nationals. The operation is designed to curb the prevalence of unlicensed foreign riders and ensure all motorists adhering to local road regulations.
In a simultaneous effort, JPJ also targeted high-end vehicles suspected of failing to comply with taxation requirements. This secondary operation resulted in the seizure of one luxury vehicle, bringing the total number of seized assets to three across both missions. These ongoing enforcement actions underscore the department's commitment to maintaining road safety and ensuring strict adherence to Malaysian vehicle licensing and taxation laws.
