Proton eMas Surpasses 40,000 Deliveries in 21 Months with Charging Hubs Planned by 2026
Proton’s electrified sub-brand, eMas, has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 40,000 vehicle deliveries within just 21 months of its inception. This rapid growth underscores the brand's successful entry into the electric vehicle market following the December 2024 launch of the eMas 7.
The milestone was marked by the delivery of the 40,000th unit, a Proton eMas 7 Premium Plus, to customer Nor Azira binti Ismail. Since the debut of the eMas 7, the electrified range has seen significant market traction, demonstrating strong consumer confidence in the national carmaker's transition toward sustainable mobility and high-tech electric powertrains.
To complement its growing sales volume, Proton is shifting its focus toward strengthening the supporting EV ecosystem. The company has confirmed that dedicated eMas-branded DC charging hubs are slated to be operational by the end of 2026. This expansion of the charging infrastructure is a critical component of Proton's long-term electrification strategy, aimed at reducing range anxiety and enhancing the overall ownership experience for eMas customers.
