Proton has officially commenced the evaluation of its new eMas electric vehicle lineup by handing over several models to the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM). This testing phase aims to assess the practical usability and performance of the eMas 5, eMas 7 EV, and eMas 7 PHEV within law enforcement operations.
The handover, which took place last week, marks a significant step in validating Proton's latest electrification technology for high-demand professional use. By placing the eMas 5 and the dual variants of the eMas 7—both the fully electric (EV) and the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions—into the hands of the PDRM, Proton intends to gather critical real-world data.
