KTM to Boost Weekend ETS Services on KL Sentral-JB Sentral Route Through December
Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) has announced an increase in its Electric Train Service (ETS) frequency to accommodate rising passenger demand. Starting immediately, four additional services will be added to the KL Sentral-JB Sentral route every weekend until December 27.
The decision comes in response to a significant surge in rail travel between Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, particularly during weekend periods. By deploying these extra services, KTM aims to alleviate congestion and provide more flexible transit options for commuters and holidaymakers traveling between these two major urban hubs.
These supplementary services will operate on the KL Sentral-JB Sentral-KL Sentral loop, ensuring consistent connectivity for both northbound and southbound travelers. Passengers are encouraged to check official schedules and book their tickets in advance to secure seating during this high-demand period, which will remain in effect through the end of the year.
