JPJ Suspends MYEG and Zetrix as Collection Agents Over Alleged RM200 Million Debt
The Malaysian Road Transport Department (JPJ) has officially suspended My E.G. Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Berhad from its list of authorized collection agents. The move follows reports that the MYEG Group entities owe the government approximately RM200 million in unremitted road tax and summons payments.
The suspension, which took effect this Monday, marks a significant disruption to the digital service ecosystem provided by the MYEG Group. According to reports, the decision stems from a massive discrepancy in collected funds, with the government alleging that the group has failed to settle RM200 million intended for road tax and traffic fine collections. This substantial shortfall has prompted JPJ to immediately revoke their status as service providers to protect government revenue.
This development is expected to cause immediate logistical shifts for motorists who have long relied on the group’s digital platforms for vehicle-related administration. As the authorities investigate the outstanding debt, the MYEG Group faces intense scrutiny regarding its financial management and its role as a government-appointed intermediary. Motorists are advised to utilize alternative official channels for license and summons renewals until further notice.
