JKR launches investigation into multiple motorcycle crashes on Federal Highway
The Public Works Department (JKR) has initiated an investigation following a series of motorcycle accidents on the Klang-bound Federal Highway near Subang Jaya. These incidents, which involved several riders losing control of their vehicles, have prompted the ministry to commence immediate remedial works to ensure commuter safety.
The accidents occurred yesterday on the dedicated motorcycle lane, specifically affecting those traveling in the direction of Klang. Reports indicate that multiple motorcyclists lost control within the vicinity of Subang Jaya, leading to several crashes. The sudden frequency of these incidents has raised urgent concerns regarding potential hazards or deteriorating road surface conditions within the lane.
Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi has confirmed that JKR is actively probing the root cause of the crashes to determine if infrastructure defects are to blame. In the interim, remedial works have been ordered to address any identified issues on the stretch of highway.
